I just finished reading this book. What I loved about this thriller are the following:a. The author really understands the issues and the motivations of various players in the India-Pakistan-China defence politics. The fact that the author has a services background really helps him in writing with great authority about how the defence establishment works and how various interest groups work to queer the peace path.
b. The story is set in an explosive context of how China will play a very important role in deciding who is going to be the winner if India Pakistan ever go to a war again. India will attempt everything in its capacity to wedge the relationship between Pakistan and China. As India gets more cozy with US, Pakistan will get more support from China
c. The author has done a lot of research and taken pains to ensure that the details about the places and location where the action takes place is accurate. I am sure the author has not visited a lot of the locations in Pakistan and China about which he writes with great accuracy and confidence
The author has shown great promise and I would equate this book with the ones written by Humphrey Hawksley in the south asian conflict and defence politics. [...]
I am looking forward to the authors second book now. Please buy this book. You will not be disappointed.

This book is a masterpiece. Incredibly well written and captures the destabilizing dynamic in the region like no other work in this genre. The author shows incredible promise and has a masterful and nuanced command of the subject matter he covers here. Would highly recommend. Eagerly awaiting his next book.
For a first time author, exceptional and masterful handling of the storyline. Straightforward prose, unpretentious and holds attention. The book exposes the little known area of back room manouevering in the South Asian political/intelligence estate - bringing alive the activity in one of the world's most critical geographies for the future...
An incredible first novel. Very well researched, the novel gives a great account of the forces at play in the India-Pakistan dynamic. At the heart of it though, it is a fast paced action thriller, which will keep you riveted as the tension slowly but surely ratchets up to a frenetic climax which is as unexpected as it is thought provoking. A must-read, in my opinion.

Excellent book, especially for a first time author. I couldn't put it down. Great insight on the geopolitics of south Asia. The ending definitely leaves you thinking. No flaws in the writing, fluid, fast paced action. Highly recommend, and look forward to the author's next book.
